The group prepare for their festival appearances with a special gig...

THE CHARLATANS are to play a one-off LONDON show to warm up for their summer of festival appearances.

The band, currently recording the follow up to 2001’s ‘Wonderland’ album at their Big Mushroom studios in Cheshire, play Shepherds Bush Empire on July 11.

Tickets go on sale on June 20, though a limited amount of tickets are available ahead of that date for members of the band’s online community who should check the band’s official website [url=] for more details.

The band are expected to release their new LP in early 2004, though a taster in the form of a brand new single is expected sometime this year. Song titles for the new album include ‘Feel The Pressure’, ‘Try Again Today’, ‘Blue For You’, ‘Wave The World Goodbye’ and ‘See How Clear It Is’.

The Charlatans play the Move Festival in Manchester on July 11, before moving on to T In The Park on July 13. Tim Burgess makes his solo live debut at the V Festival over the weekend of August 16/17.
