The Charlatans‘ frontman Tim Burgess has performed an exclusive track for NME.COM.

’Black Heart, Blank Mind’ appears on

NME’s free Love Music Hate Racism CD, available on the cover of this week’s NME, on sale at newsstands now.

Explaining the meaning behind the track, which was penned exclusively for the CD, Burgess said: “Love Music Hate Racism is quite a bold statement and I wanted to say something that matched it. ’Blank Heart, Blank Mind’ is about ignorance really.”

“I think [Love Music Hate Racism] is a truly genuine, heartfelt cause.”
