Plan B played an intimate show at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on Thursday (August 29). The rapper and singer’s set in front of 2,000 people was streamed online.

The show, organised to mark the switch on of mobile provider O2’s 4G service in London, was streamed live across the internet and at outdoor locations across London.

The 29-year-old singer, real name Ben Drew, played in front of a bank of LED screens showing scenes from the 2012 film he directed, Ill Manors.

He played tracks including ‘Writing’s On The Wall’, saying afterwards, “It feels good to be back in this venue”.

Dressed casually in a colourful shirt, he went on to play tracks like ‘Welcome To Hell’ and ‘She Said’, with the crowd singing the words back to him.

In a joking nod to recent controversy surrounding his performance supporting Eminem at Slane Castle, Dublin, where he walked off stage early claiming the crowd were “tired”, he repeatedly asked the crowd, “Where’s the mosh pit?”
