Chvrches express disappointment in Marshmello’s decision to work with “predators and abusers” Tyga and Chris Brown

"We are really upset, confused and disappointed"

Chvrches have taken to social media to express their disappointment in recent collaborator Marshmello‘s decision to work with Tyga and Chris Brown.

Last month, Chvrches and Marshmello teamed up together on new single ‘Here With Me’, but today the Scottish band took to Twitter to express their disappointment in the EDM DJ for his latest release ‘Light It Up’, because it features both Tyga and Chris Brown.

“We are really upset, confused and disappointed by Marshmello’s choice to work with Tyga and Chris Brown,” the band’s tweet, which you can see below, began.

“We like and respect Mello as a person but working with people who are predators and abusers enables, excuses and ultimately tacitly endorses that behaviour. That is not something we can or will stand behind.”

Chris Brown was arrested for the felony assault of his then-girlfriend Rihanna while they were sitting in a parked car in Los Angeles back in 2009.

The release of ‘Here With Me’ comes after CHVRCHES released their third album ‘Love is Dead’ in 2018.
