Beyonce confirmed to collaborate with Coldplay at Superbowl half-time show

Another special guest star is also expected to team up with the band on February 7

Beyonce is set to join Coldplay onstage at their Superbowl half-time show, it has been confirmed.

Sponsors Pepsi told the Associated Press, the former Destiny’s Child singer will be teaming up with the band at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on February 7.

She is expected to perform both tracks she appears on from Coldplay’s recent album ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’.

Beyonce previously headlined the 2013 Pepsi Super Bowl half-time show in New Orleans, where she was joined by her Destiny Child’s bandmates, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

Bruno Mars, who headlined the show last year, is also expected to make an appearance with Coldplay, according to Entertainment Tonight.

It was previously reported that Rihanna would be collaborating with the band, but that is yet to be confirmed. She appeared on the track ‘Princess Of China’ from their 2011 album ‘Mylo Xyloto’

Meanwhile Coldplay recently revealed they are taking song requests from their fans for their forthcoming ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ tour. Frontman Chris Martin has said that while the band have finalised most of their setlist, they have left part of it open for members of the audience to submit their favourite tracks.

The band are due to play four dates at Wembley Stadium next summer as part of their UK tour from June 15-19, 2016. The tour is their first in three years and follows the release of new album ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’.

Coldplay will play the following UK live dates in support of the album next summer:

Manchester Etihad Stadium (June 4, 5)
Glasgow Hampden Park (June 7)
London Wembley Stadium (June 15, 16,18, 19)
