Interpol play new song ‘Anywhere’ at NME Awards Tour warm-up gig – watch

The band play three new tracks ahead of NME Awards Tour 2014 with Austin, Texas starting tomorrow (18 March)

Interpol played three new songs at a live show in Newcastle last night (March 16), their first live show since 2011.

The band were playing a warm-up gig at The Riverside in the north east, in preparation for their headline slot on the NME Awards Tour 2014 with Austin, Texas which stars tomorrow (March 18) alongside Temples, Royal Blood and Circa Waves.

The band played three new tracks, ‘Anywhere’, ‘My Desire’ and ‘All The Rage Back Home’, alongside a selection of older material. See above to watch ‘Anywhere’, while a clip of ‘My Desire’ can be seen below along with a full setlist.


Speaking to NME, Interpol guitarist Daniel Kessler recently said he is excited to hit the road once again. “It’s going to be a really nice way for us to get back out there again. We haven’t played shows for a couple of years now and this felt right. It’s cool to come back on the road on the eve of a new record.”
