Kanye West’s Yeezy slides are getting even bigger

"Are the slides big enough"

Kanye West has posed in a pair of comically massive Yeezy slides, a response to the widespread mockery he received when spotted in a pair that were two sizes too small.

The rapper tweeted a picture of himself wearing the oversized slides, along with the caption: “Are the slides big enough?”

In the early hours of  this morning, he followed up with another picture of enormous shoes, this time a pair of sneakers.

In response, West argued that he was wearing the shoes in the ‘Japanese way’, but was only met with more mockery online.

Meanwhile, West is continuing to work on his joint album with Chance The Rapper. They were pictured in the studio in his native Chicago.

“I came home to work with Chance on his new album”, Kanye explained.

Hours later, the pair were seen together in the studio for the first time as they posed with producer Zaytoven.

While in Chicago the rapper also apologised for some of his controversial actions this year, including wearing a Make America Great Again hat, tweeting his support for Donald Trump and calling slavery “a choice”.

Speaking to Chicago radio station 107.5 WGCI, the star said: “I have never really approached or addressed the slavery comment fully. And it’s not something for me to overly intellectualise. This is something about the fact that it hurt people’s feelings and the way that I presented that piece of information.”

He went on to apologise for the way he expressed his thoughts, saying he could have done so in a “more calm way” but that he was “ramped up”.

“I don’t know if I properly apologised for how the slavery comment made people feel,” he continued. “I’m sorry for the one-two effect of the MAGA hat into the slave comment, and I’m sorry for people that felt let down by that moment.”
