Fans of Rick & Morty have been left frustrated after a new clip failed to answer their questions about new episodes.
The Twitter account for the hit Adult Swim show shared a clip that showed the two titular characters transforming into otherworldly monsters as the psychedelic snippet plays out.
But while it provided a brief look at new footage, it did little to quell the appetite of fans who are hungry for season 4 to arrive.
One wrote: “They’ve been putting out teasers like this for about a year now. Really don’t want to be one of those people but for god sakes give us a new season.”
Another argued: “Please where is the announcement for season 4
#RickAndMorty we’re all dying here.”

Although any concrete details on the arrival of a new season are yet to emerge, Adult Swim confirmed back in May 2018 that a mammoth 70 more episodes of Rick and Morty have been commissioned.

Meanwhile, Ryan Ridley, a writer and producer on the show, said back in January 2018 that the fourth season could arrive in late 2019.
“They really take their time,” he told the Detroit Cast. “I’m just shocked that it’s taking [so long] – we got done writing season 3 in November of last year and here we are 11 months later,” he added. “And then I know how long the show takes to write, let alone animate, so it’s just like, I’d be surprised if there was a fourth season on the air any sooner than 2019 – in late 2019.”
