Grimes confirms new music is coming this week and launches new merch range

It's been three years since the release of her last album, 'Art Angels'

Grimes has confirmed she is set to release new music this week as she launches a new range of merchandise and a new web store.

The Canadian musician has been teasing new music for a while and shared clips of two tracks – a “cheesy love song” and an “ethereal chav jam” – in June. Earlier this month, she told fans a new release was “imminent.”

Posting on Instagram, Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, announced the launch of her new merchandise and web store. In the caption, she added: “!New music coming Nov 29!” No further details of the release have been confirmed at present.

Boucher also shared an image of a new logo or artwork, which featured her musical moniker written three times in black and white, with a Russian translation of the name added in pink. See the posts below.

Grimes last released a record three years ago with ‘Art Angels‘. The album was named NME‘s Album Of The Year for 2015, beating the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Rey, Blur, and A$AP Rocky to the accolade.

The star has recently been involved in a number of collaborations, including a long-awaited team-up with Poppy, called ‘Play Destroy’, and a track with Mindless Self Indulgence’s Jimmy Urine. Grimes is also set to feature on Bring Me The Horizon’s forthcoming album, ‘Amo’, and recently shared the theme tune she penned for Netflix series Hilda.

Earlier this year, the musician shared a potential tracklist for her new album, which included songs with working titles like ‘thats what the drugs r 4’, ‘Darq Souls’, and ‘blaze forever like a useless star’.
